We all love to have a food treat now and again, whether it’s a take-out or going to a restaurant. And if, like me, you want to include the children, Pizza is always a good choice!
So grab a pizza the action and have a read of our weird, wonderful pizza facts from some of the more exotic choices of pizza toppings from around the world:
In India, the most popular toppings are pickled ginger, minced mutton and paneer (a type of cottage cheese).
Russia enjoyes a very fishy topping, Mockba (a mixture of sardines, tuna, mackerel, salmon, onions and red herring).
Brazil likes simplicity in green peas.
For Japan, they add eel, squid and mayo jaga (which is mayonnaise, potato and bacon)
In France they prefer Flambee (bacon, onion and fresh cream) ooh la la!!
Korea enjoys a potato pizza, with potato, onions, bacon, mushrooms, cheese and mayonnaise – a little bit like a friita without the eggs.
For Switzerland the popular pizza topping is a tex-mex style, which includes onions, double beef, fresh tomatoes and jalapeno peppers.
And finally Greece, they enjoy hellenic, which consists of many ingrediants, including pepperoni, onion, green pepper, fresh tomato, greek olives, feta cheese and oregano.
That’s quite a variety isn’t it, as for my family and me we enjoy the meat feast, which has pepperoni, spicy beef and chicken and good old fashioned hawaiian which is ham and pineapple.
So whatever your choice I’m sure you and your family with have a full stomach after munching your own version of the perfect pizza.
