Who was Sir Isaac Newton?

He was the greatest scientist ever to emerge from Britain.

He applied his unique scientific gifts to a number of fields of enquiry and he introduced the differential calculus, stated the famous laws of motion, discovered the law of gravitation, stated the corpuscular theory of light and put forward the binomial theorem.

He was a member of Parliament, president of the Royal Society, and sometimes, the warden of the royal mint.

He was a very kind and considerate gentleman, who never allowed his superior knowledge make lesser men feel humble.
