Are potato skins good for you?

We are all told how much better a ‘jacket potato’ is for you rather than chips or waffles.

This here are the reasons why they are more healthy…

The skin of a potato contains fibre and vitamins, and when the ‘jacket’ is kept on these remain in the potato rather than being boiled into the water.

Potatoes contain vitamin C and the vital vitamin B that helps the body make healthy red blood cells and amino acids.

Also, they don’t have any fat in them, as long as they are not fried or you add a lot of butter to them.

So, potatoes are a good all rounder, inside and out 🙂
