Who invented Vulcanized Rubber?

Vulcanized Rubber was invented by a gentlemen named Charles Goodyear (1800-1860). The American inventor became interested in the properties of rubber in 1834 and spent the next few years working out how to get rubber into a usuable form.

He was finally successful and by 1844, vulcanized rubber was a practical possibility.

The vulcanisation of rubber is the chemical process for converting natural rubber into more durable alternatives.
